  • ABOUT

    Sonnenberg Advisory was established following nearly two decades of experience in investment fund and family office operations.

    Before founding Sonnenberg Advisory, Rachel built and led the Investment Innovation Lab at Amazon Web Services, where she focused on supporting early-stage startups. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff at Kindred Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital fund. Prior to that, she was part of the growth-stage investment team at Y Combinator. Earlier in her career, Rachel worked at North Run Capital, a Boston-based hedge fund, and began her finance journey at Audax Group, a private equity fund with offices in CA, NY, + MA. She began her professional career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she was recruited into the highly selective management training program and later focused on operations and quality analytics.

    Rachel lives in San Francisco with her husband Andrei. She’s passionate about traveling, music, cycling, skiing, food (cooking + trying new restaurants), and wine. She is a lifelong learner; always with a new hobby or passion.
